1. Overview

1Chat AI ("we", "our", "the extension") is a Chrome extension developed by Evirtux Inc. that provides translation and voice services for WhatsApp Web. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. Data Collection

1Chat AI processes all data locally in your browser. We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your WhatsApp messages or conversations
• Your contacts or phone numbers
• Your browsing history
• Your personal files

3. Data Processing

The following data is processed temporarily and only when you use specific features:

• Translation: Message text is sent to Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, DeepL, or your configured AI provider for translation. Text is not stored after translation.
• Text-to-Speech (TTS): Text is sent to our voice processing service to generate audio. Audio data is not retained.
• Speech-to-Text (STT): Voice recordings are sent to our voice processing service for transcription. Recordings are not stored.
• Voice Cloning: Voice samples are processed by our voice service to create voice profiles. Cloned voices expire after 7 days of non-use.

4. Account Information

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture. This information is used solely for:

• Account identification and subscription management
• Displaying your profile within the extension

We do not share your Google account information with third parties.

5. API Keys

If you provide your own AI provider API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), they are encrypted using AES-GCM and stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. Keys are never transmitted to our servers.

6. Third-Party Services

1Chat AI integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Translate / Microsoft Translator — for free translations
• DeepL — for premium translations (requires your API key)
• AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) — for AI-powered features (requires your API key)
• Stripe — for payment processing (managed by Stripe, we do not see your card details)

7. Data Storage

All settings, preferences, and cached translations are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API and IndexedDB. No data is stored on our servers except your subscription status.

8. Children's Privacy

1Chat AI is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
